Saw the news that uBlock Origin is basically throwing in the towel on Facebook. Felt a weird little knot in my stomach. Up here in Duluth, we spend half the year building physical walls against the cold. Turns out, I’ve been treating my browser like it’s somehow exempt from that same basic survival instinct.

Five years sober taught me one brutal lesson: if you leave the gate unlatched, the wrong kind of visitors show up. I tell my clients this all the time in the gym. You can’t build a solid structure if you’re constantly letting poor form and ego overload wreck the foundation. We’re supposed to be this spiritual community talking about cord-cutting and psychic shields, yet we voluntarily invite algorithmic sludge into our daily feed. It’s hypocritical, honestly. And kind of funny.

Psychologically, this is just mass-scale operant conditioning. The platforms aren’t guessing what you want; they’re baiting your triggers. When we stop filtering, we’re not just losing privacy. We’re letting external noise dictate our internal state. It mirrors exactly what happens when we ignore our own inner boundaries. You let the static in, and suddenly your nervous system is running on someone else’s frequency. Carl Jung talked about how, without a proper container, the shadow just projects outward. Without that mental filter, we become reactors.

Tarot’s been heavy on The Tower lately for me. Not the apocalypse kind, but the “cracks in the facade” kind. When that last digital boundary falls, it’s a signal. The Hermit follows it, always. Time to step back, pull the drawbridge up, and remember that real discernment isn’t about curating a pretty aesthetic feed. It’s about refusing to let surveillance capitalism rent space in your head rent-free.

I’ve never been a fan of the whole “just vibrate higher” toxicity that floats around these circles. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is just say no. Close the tab. Mute the group. Draw a line. So I’m asking: how are you rebuilding your walls now that the easy shields are breaking down? What
