That’s not a fringe group anymore. That’s the kind of critical mass that actually shifts how a society processes uncertainty.
When you look at numbers like that, it’s hard not to think about Carl Jung and his concept of synchronicity. We’re not just randomly grabbing onto symbols because social media algorithms fed them to us. I think there’s a collective restlessness happening where the old institutional frameworks just stopped making sense. People are looking for meaning that doesn’t demand blind faith, and divination gives you a mirror instead of a rigid manual. The Tarot’s Wheel of Fortune fits this perfectly—it’s not about predicting some fixed destiny, it’s about recognizing the turning point. We’re in the rotation right now.
That said, I do worry about what happens when these practices go mainstream. I spent years in comparative religion before I traded the lecture hall for an electrician’s license, and I’ve watched way too much of Eastern wisdom get stripped down into five-minute clips with zero context. It’s easy to miss the years of ethical grounding and community accountability that usually accompany these traditions. But I’m not gonna gatekeep. If this stuff is helping people navigate grief, career changes, or just figuring out who they are, that’s completely valid. We just need to be mindful of the roots.

That's the real danger zone—people trying to run heavy spiritual loads on extension cords without realizing they're gonna blow a fuse.
