Last Tuesday I tried Reiki self-healing in my Lubbock living room, and my old molecular biology brain immediately filed a complaint. It was placebo, intention, and a very quiet room. Then my shoulders dropped like they’d been holding a shelf up for years, and my body didn’t need a p-value—just permission.
