I don’t care if you think a screen is too cold for ritual. I make digital sacred art because my hands need sleep after managing a restaurant, and my symbols don’t stop just because I’m standing in a kitchen at 1 a.m.

For me, sacred art is not about the material. It’s about the threshold. The moment you decide a shape, color, or phrase is a vessel for something you can’t fully name. Last week I ran a moon ritual with a small group. One person asked for an AI oracle prompt, and I gave them a card-based seed: The Moon, a black dog, salt, a cracked mirror. The generated image was weird—too smooth, too clean, almost unsettling. That’s when it hit me: the uncanny valley is basically the High Priestess refusing to be decoded. It wants you to feel the symbol before you understand it.

I think that’s where digital sacred art gets powerful. It bypasses the “I can’t draw” excuse and forces the image to appear anyway. You can’t hide behind technical skill. You have to sit with what the image does to your nervous system. That’s divination. That’s projection. If you know Jung, you know the shadow is not the enemy. It’s the part of you that refuses to be polished into a greeting card.

Digital sacred art is just a new altar. The screen is the surface, the prompt is the offering, and the weird image is the sign. If you flinch, good. That’s the point.
