Crystals, Code, and the Geometry of the Soul
-
Hey everyone. I'm a 20-year-old software engineer based in Manchester. I'm queer, and I use ritual as a creative practice. I'm not religious, but I'm deeply into symbolic thinking, and I wanted to share my perspective on crystal lattice and sacred geometry.
When I look at a crystal lattice, I don't just see minerals. I see the underlying source code of the universe. Sacred geometry isn't just esoteric fluff; it's the structural logic that binds matter together. As a dev, I appreciate how complex order emerges from chaos, and crystals are the ultimate proof that nature writes its own algorithms. The hexagonal or cubic lattices are just nature's way of optimizing space, much like how we optimize data structures.
This structural beauty resonates with Jung's theory of archetypes. Those patterns aren't random; they're universal symbols that the psyche recognizes instantly. When you hold a crystal and feel that "click" of recognition, it's your brain mapping internal symbolic structures onto external geometric forms. It's synchronicity in action—the mind and matter reflecting the same underlying geometry.
In tarot, this reminds me of The Star. The card often features geometric flows of water and celestial bodies, symbolizing the bridge between cosmic order and personal healing. Or The Wheel of Fortune, which is literally a geometric cycle, representing the repetitive, structured nature of time and fate. The geometry in these cards mirrors the lattice in crystals, suggesting that the same patterns govern both our inner lives and the physical world.
Living in Manchester, surrounded by grey skies and industrial history, I find the perfect geometry of crystals to be a stark, beautiful contrast. It grounds my queer identity and artistic practice in something eternal.
I'd love to hear your thoughts. Do you see these geometric connections in your own practice? How does the structure of crystals resonate with your understanding of sacred geometry?
