The Vesica Piscis: Where Geometry Meets the Soul

[joe_d_8457]

Hey everyone, joe_d_8457 here. If you’ve ever spent an afternoon tracing wire routes in a Providence row house, you’ll know that intersections matter. The vesica piscis—that almond-shaped overlap of two circles—has been on my radar lately. Honestly, it’s less about mystical fluff and more about how we wire our inner lives. Don't worry, I'm an electrician, not a mystic—I just like that the math of overlapping circles mirrors how our brains stitch together meaning from noise.

I stumbled into spirituality during a rough patch in my twenties. Therapy saved me, but it left me deeply skeptical of self-proclaimed gurus. I prefer practices that actually work, like moon rituals for grounding or energy healing that feels as tangible as a live circuit. The vesica piscis resonates because it’s literally a blueprint for connection. In Jungian psychology, it mirrors the process of integrating the conscious and unconscious—the "shadow work" that keeps us balanced. Your brain loves these overlapping patterns; it’s how we make sense of chaos.

Tarot leans heavily into this shape, especially in The Star card, where that intersecting geometry symbolizes hope, cosmic guidance, and the birth of new perspectives. It’s not magic, it’s pattern recognition meeting intention. When I draw The Star, I’m reminded that growth happens in the overlap, not in isolation.

I’m curious how others see it. Do you treat the vesica piscis as a mathematical curiosity, a spiritual symbol, or both? Let’s swap notes.
