I've been reading the threads here for years, and I rarely post, but this topic caught my attention. I recently tried one of those AI spiritual chatbots that claim to offer guidance or meditation prompts. What surprised me wasn't the advice itself, but what I had to hand over to get it. Most of these tools ask for deeply personal information—life struggles, beliefs, emotional states, sometimes even location or device data. When you're talking about faith or mental well-being, that data is incredibly sensitive.

The privacy policy on the one I tested was vague about data retention and third-party sharing. It mentioned using responses to improve the model, which basically means your most vulnerable moments could end up in a training dataset. For a spiritual tool, that feels like a breach of trust. I'd expect at least end-to-end encryption or a clear opt-out for data collection.

I'm not saying we should avoid these tools entirely, but we need to be careful about what we feed them. If you're going to use an AI for spiritual or emotional support, read the privacy terms closely. Turn off data sharing if you can, and maybe keep your answers general. I'd love to hear if anyone else has noticed this pattern or found a bot that actually respects user privacy.
