At 62, living here in Oslo, I’ve spent years teaching yoga, but I’m increasingly frustrated by how the practice has been packaged, sold, and stripped of its philosophical roots. Lately, I’ve been diving into the metaphysical underpinnings of the current generational transit: Pluto in Aquarius, which will shape the collective mindset from 2024 through 2043.

Astrologically, this placement is all about dismantling outdated systems and rebuilding them around community, technology, and radical equality. Psychologically, I keep returning to Jung’s concept of the collective unconscious and shadow work. Pluto forces the hidden, repressed, or inconvenient truths to the surface. When paired with Aquarius—an air sign historically ruled by Saturn and currently influenced by Uranus—it’s less about personal ego and more about societal restructuring. How do we process this psychologically? It’s like watching The Tower card manifest on a generational scale: old institutions crack, but from the rubble, The Star emerges—symbolizing hope, renewal, and a return to authentic connection.

I’ve been experimenting with how the "roots" of yoga (self-inquiry, breath, stillness) can act as a psychological anchor during this era of rapid change. If Pluto demands we confront the shadow of our societal structures, what tools help a generation navigate that without burning out? How do we balance technological acceleration with inner grounding?

I’d love to hear how others are interpreting this transit. Are you feeling the generational shift in your daily life? What psychological frameworks or tarot resonances are you working with? I’m really eager to learn from your experiences and reflections.
