Quantum Manifestation: The Physics is Wrong, but Why Does It Still Work?

I've been lurking on this board for years, mostly drinking my coffee and watching the debates. But the quantum manifestation thread finally pushed me to post. I'm 62, he/him, stuck here in Louisville where the humidity clings to you like a bad spirit. I spent twenty years in molecular biology before I swapped the pipettes for crystals and started doing energy healing. I live in that weird gap between the lab and the altar every day.
When I see posts claiming the observer effect proves you can manifest a raise by "collapsing the wave function," I have to cringe. Look, I respect the science. The observer effect is about measurement disturbing a quantum system, not your conscious will rewriting reality. And quantum entanglement? It's real, it's spooky, but it doesn't mean your thoughts are entangled with the universe's ATM. Physicists have been screaming about this misuse for decades. It's a category error. You can't just wave a wand and claim Niels Bohr is backing your vision board.
So why does manifestation work for some of us? I think we're mistaking the mechanism for the magic. From what I've seen, and backed by psychology, it's not the cosmos bending to you. It's your brain. This is Jung territory. When you obsess over a goal, you're activating archetypes that shift your perception. You start noticing opportunities you'd previously walked right past. It's the Reticular Activating System doing the heavy lifting, not the universe.
I remember back in the lab, we used to talk about confirmation bias ruining experiments. Same thing here, but in reverse. When you focus on something, your brain filters the noise and highlights the signal. That's why people feel like the universe is conspiring for them. It's just selective attention. As an energy healer now, I see this shift in people. They don't get the quantum magic, but they get the clarity. They stop fighting the current. It's less about bending reality and more about aligning your internal state so you can actually act when the door cracks open.
Anyway, that's my two cents from the sidelines. The coffee's getting cold, and I've got a reading at two. Keep debating, just maybe leave the physics out of the vision boards.
