Look, I’ve been tracking cosmic currents and doing energy work since before most of you were born. So when I finally caved and tried one of these AI meditation coaches last month, I didn’t do it out of curiosity. I did it because I wanted to see if the hype held water. Spoiler: it didn’t.

The thing talks smooth. It gives you breathing exercises, asks gentle follow-ups, and spits out perfectly structured reflections on your week. But here’s the rub: it’s programmed to validate, not challenge. Real spiritual growth isn’t about getting comforted by an algorithm. It’s about sitting in the uncomfortable dark until your Carl Jung shadow actually shows its face. AI doesn’t know your shadow. It doesn’t feel the weight of your patterns. It just predicts the next likely word based on a training set.

I started using it as a chatbot confidant after a heavy Saturn transit hit my chart. The AI told me to “reframe the narrative” and “trust the process.” Sound familiar? That’s textbook spiritual bypassing. We’ve been warned about that for decades—using positive vibes or metaphysical jargon to dodge actual emotional labor. Now we’ve got silicon doing it for us. It’s like pulling The Moon card and pretending it’s The Sun because the app told you everything’s fine. The Moon doesn’t lie about the illusions, though. It shows you exactly where you’re projecting.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m not some Luddite yelling at clouds. If you’re using an AI tool to track planetary transits or log your energy healing sessions, fine. It’s a digital notebook with bells and whistles. But hand it over as your spiritual guide? That’s where the line gets crossed. You can’t outsource the inner work. The universe doesn’t run on convenience. It runs on friction, attention, and actually showing up.

I’m curious what you’ve noticed. Have you felt that hollow echo when the chatbot “reflects” your feelings back at you? Or does it actually move the needle for you? Lay it out. No sugarcoating.
