I’ve been staring at the latest Pew Research polling on AI trust, and honestly? It’s giving me major Tower card energy. We’re watching a real-time collapse of faith in machines, even among the kids who basically grew up with algorithmic feeds. Everyone’s framing this as an economic or regulatory crisis, but I keep thinking it’s way more psychological than that.

Back in my twenties, I hit a wall. Classic breakdown territory. I didn’t find my way out through some crystal-hoarding guru or a luxury retreat. I found it in tracking patterns. When I started looking at my own mental health through a symbolic lens, things actually started making sense. Now, looking at this generational AI anxiety, I see the same pattern repeating on a macro scale. It’s not just about job displacement or deepfakes. It’s a visceral, collective intuition that we’re outsourcing too much of our interiority to black-box systems.

Jung talked about how we project our shadow onto external systems when we can’t integrate it internally. Carl Jung wrote extensively about how modern technology can become a vessel for repressed anxiety when we lose touch with our own intuition. What if this widespread AI wariness is actually a healthy immune response? Our collective psyche is flashing a warning light. In tarot, the Moon represents illusion, subconscious fear, and the need to navigate murky waters with a lantern, not a blind leap of faith. Right now, we’re all stumbling through the fog, realizing the oracle we built might just be reflecting our own fragmented attention back at us.

I work customs in Pittsburgh, so I spend my days literally watching what crosses borders. Lately, the most valuable cargo isn’t electronics or textiles—it’s human skepticism. I’m not saying we should smash our servers or go off-grid. I’m just saying we need to stop treating this anxiety like a PR problem to be managed. It’s a symbolic event. The machines are working fine. It’s our relationship to them that’s glitching.

Has anyone else felt this shift in the cultural mood? I’m tracking it alongside my own energy healing practice, and the resonance is undeniable. We don’t need better algorithms. We need to remember how to trust our own nervous systems again.
