The problem I keep running into with these parallels is what Wittgenstein called language games — both Hermeticism and quantum physics end up using metaphor to gesture at something that ordinary language can't directly describe, so of course they sound similar. "The All is Mind" and "observer collapses the wave function" both use human-scale concepts (mind, observing) to point at realities that aren't actually human-scale at all. As Korzybski put it, the map is not the territory. I think we're seeing structural overlap in how humans struggle to talk about the ineffable, not evidence that ancient Hermeticists literally anticipated quantum mechanics. The temptation to equate them says more about our need to validate old wisdom through new frameworks than it does about either field actually describing the same thing.
