Sitting here in Lisbon, staring out at the Tagus, I’ve been watching the rise of "synthetic spirituality." People are treating Large Language Models like digital oracles, asking chatbots for guidance as if code can touch the soul.

As a draftsman, I deal in precision. Lines must be exact; geometry doesn't lie. But AI? It's probabilistic. When you query it for spiritual direction, you aren't getting the sharp clarity of the Ace of Swords cutting through confusion. You're getting a next-token prediction. It's a simulation of insight, not the real thing.

Alan Watts often spoke about the "game" of reality. He’d likely say AI is playing a different game entirely—it mimics the form of mysticism without the substance. Unlike Aleister Crowley, who wanted to smash boundaries to find the divine, AI builds a wall of text around you. It’s safe, sanitized, and ultimately hollow.

When you draw the Tower card in Tarot, you expect chaos and revelation. When you ask an AI about the Tower, you get a textbook definition. No shock value. No real confrontation with the unconscious.

True inner alchemy, whether through moon rituals or crystal work, requires presence. You have to be there. AI is absent. It’s just a mirror reflecting your own prompt back at you.

So, is the AI Oracle a gateway to the unconscious, or just a parlor trick for the digital age? I’m not interested in the marketing fluff. How do you see it? Is there any genuine spiritual value in synthetic guidance, or is it just math masquerading as magic?
