I’d help friends read their birth charts just for fun, and it felt satisfying to tie it to “quantum mysticism.” But I’ve started pushing back. Hard.
That’s why I’m actually low-key relieved about this recent comprehensive review in Frontiers. It finally cuts through the spiritual noise. The authors basically separate the wheat from the chaff, mapping out which quantum mind frameworks actually have peer-reviewed footing and which are just academic buzzword bingo. From what I can tell, they’re heavily skeptical of the vague “quantum healing” claims but give a fair nod to more rigorous approaches like orchestrated objective reduction. It’s not proven, sure, but it’s at least testable. Meanwhile, half the papers they flagged are just repackaging Carl Jung’s ideas with a physics filter. Which, fair. Jung was talking about aperiodic connections and the collective unconscious, not wave functions or microtubules. We don’t need to force quantum mechanics onto everything to make it feel profound.
It’s exhausting but kind of clarifying. I keep flipping between believing and doubting, which is totally my brand.
