I’m deeply wary of the “love and light” crowd who treat this like spiritual evolution. It’s not. It’s adaptation. Symbols survive by migrating. What actually bothers me is the whitewashing. Real divination work—whether it’s tarot, runes, or casting bones—sits with discomfort. It asks you to look at what you’re avoiding. Corporate astrology smooths that out. It turns the Tower into a “market correction opportunity” and calls it a day. I’ve felt that friction in my own practice. When I pull cards for folks, I’m not selling comfort.
