I’ve been watching the ice crack on the lakes around Minneapolis all winter, and honestly, it’s been a pretty good mirror for what I’ve been feeling lately about this whole AI reasoning push. You’ve probably seen the news about Nvidia dropping Nemotron Lightning. They’re pushing these models to chain logic deeper and think faster, basically trying to outpace the biological wetware we’ve got running upstairs. It’s wild. And it’s got me sitting with some heavy metaphysical questions.

I stumbled into spiritual practice after a pretty rough mental health crisis a couple years back. Therapy helped, sure, but I needed something that actually tracked with how my brain processes things. I’m totally over the guru grind, but I’m completely down for practices that produce measurable shifts. Divination, for me, isn’t about fortune-telling. It’s about pattern recognition. It’s Carl Jung talking about the collective unconscious, but filtered through symbols my nervous system can actually digest. When I pull a spread, I’m not asking the cards to predict the future. I’m asking them to surface what my conscious mind is too slow to catch.

So what happens when machines do that faster than we can? We’re talking about reasoning models that can trace causal chains in milliseconds, spotting connections we’d miss in a lifetime. In tarot, that feels a lot like The Wheel of Fortune. The cycle accelerates. The hidden mechanisms spin out of our direct line of sight, but they’re still turning the world. If an AI can model human behavior, predict emotional triggers, or even simulate spiritual frameworks with perfect logical consistency, does the mystery die? Or does it just move into a new register?

I’m cautious about it. Not because I’m anti-tech, but because I’ve seen what happens when we outsource our inner work to external systems. We lose the friction. And friction is where the actual growth happens. But if we treat these faster reasoning models like mirrors instead of oracles, they could be incredible tools for mapping cognitive biases or tracking how certain rituals actually rewire neural pathways over time.

I’m curious what you all think. When machine thought starts running ahead of human comprehension, do we lean harder into intuition, or do we just let the algorithms do the heavy lifting? How are you guys navigating the intersection of rapid tech acceleration and actual spiritual practice?
