I’m twenty-three and already “retired” from the postal service. Sounds wild, right? But my body just stopped cooperating after three years of hauling fifty-pound sacks in Chicago blizzards. I walked away with a back that aches when it rains and a nervous system permanently tuned to high alert. Honestly, that physical toll is exactly why I’m so skeptical of this AIOracle hype. Everyone’s acting like a machine can generate the same depth as a human who’s actually bled for their lessons.

I don’t mean this to sound pretentious. I’m just an artist who uses ritual to make sense of the mess. When I sit down with a tarot spread, I’m not looking for fortune-telling. I’m looking for mirrors. Carl Jung wrote extensively about how we only truly internalize knowledge when it’s woven through lived experience, not just intellectually cataloged. He called it individuation, but I’ve seen it play out in real time. The Hanged Man card keeps showing up in my spreads whenever I’m resisting a necessary surrender. The imagery doesn’t care about my data points. It asks what I’m actually willing to let die so something real can breathe. AI can describe the Hanged Man in a thousand eloquent paragraphs, but it’s never felt the vertigo of turning your life upside down.

That’s the thing about embodied knowledge. It’s forged in friction. I spent two years in therapy unpacking how growing up queer in a rigid, blue-collar environment wired my brain for hypervigilance. My rituals—salt baths, candle work, journaling until my hand cramps—are basically somatic processing. They’re how I translate raw experience into symbol. AI slop skips the friction. It spits out polished non-fiction without ever having to sit in the dark with its own shadow. You can prompt it for wisdom, but wisdom isn’t a dataset. It’s scar tissue.

I think the wisdom tradition matters now more than ever because we’re drowning in simulated insight. Real understanding requires a body that can break, a heart that can misread a room, and the humility to admit when you’re wrong. I’m still figuring out my own path, but I’ve learned that you can’t algorithm your way through grief, desire, or doubt. Those things demand presence. They demand skin in the game.

How do you all keep grounded when the digital noise gets this loud? Do you lean into physical practice, or is there another way you anchor yourself to what’s real?

That really hits home. In my breathwork groups, I see it constantly: intellectual understanding just bounces off until the nervous system actually metabolizes the friction.
