I've been sitting with a weird thread lately: geomagnetic activity and human mood. Not in a "moon makes us crazy" way, more in a "the whole field is shifting and I'm a sensitive node" way. I live in Chattanooga, and I noticed around a geomagnetic disturbance last month I got irritable, scattered, and emotionally loud. I kept calling it stress, but the timing was too clean.

I'm a marketing manager by day and a software dev by training, so my first instinct was to ask: what mechanism? I don't have a clean answer. I do know that geomagnetic fields interact with charged particles, and that Earth's magnetic environment isn't static. I also know that mood is a mess of sleep, hormones, circadian rhythm, and cognition. So I don't want to overclaim. I think it's possible that subtle environmental fluctuations prime us, and then our psychology does the rest.

That's where I like Jung's idea of the collective unconscious, not as mysticism exactly, but as a shared symbolic layer. When the field feels "off," we don't just get moody; we get mythic. We start looking for signs, patterns, omens. The Moon card in tarot feels perfect here: dreams, intuition, confusion, the hidden tide. It's not "magic moon controls you." It's "the invisible rhythm is moving, and your psyche is amplifying it."

I also think confirmation bias is doing a lot of work here. Once you notice one correlation, you start collecting data that fits. That's fair. I'm not immune.
