Beyond the Skull: Is Nonlocal Consciousness Real or Just Quantum Fluff?
-
I've been meditating for five years now, mostly to manage the stress of being an urban planner in Philadelphia. Lately, though, I've been digging into the "mystic science" side of things—specifically nonlocal consciousness. The idea that awareness isn't trapped inside the brain but exists as a field that permeates everything. It's a fascinating crossover between physics and psychology.
From a Jungian standpoint, this aligns with the concept of the collective unconscious. If we all tap into a shared layer of the mind, does that mean consciousness is fundamentally nonlocal? In quantum mechanics, entanglement demonstrates that particles can be connected regardless of distance. If the brain acts as a receiver or antenna for this field, then meditation might just be tuning the frequency to reduce static.
I've started using tarot as a practical tool to access this nonlocal layer. It's less about "fortune telling" and more about pattern recognition—pulling archetypes out of the collective field. When I do a spread, I often feel like I'm tapping into something bigger than my personal experience. It feels less like "me" and more like a shared human intuition. The cards seem to reflect universal truths rather than individual predictions.
Has anyone else here tried bridging Jungian psychology with quantum theory? Do you think nonlocal consciousness is a proven scientific reality, or is it still more of a philosophical framework? I'm looking for a community that can discuss this analytically, without the "woo-woo" label. What's your take on the "antenna theory" of the brain?
