I just think we’re confusing convenient symbolism with actual inner work. When people tell me Lilith “heals” their trauma or “unlocks” their feminine power, I hear the same old projection bias dressed up in glitter.

Jung called it the shadow. Carl Jung spent decades writing about how we dump our unwanted impulses onto external symbols instead of integrating them. Lilith’s just the current vessel. In the tarot, this energy shows up in The Moon card—all the murky, unspoken stuff we refuse to sit with. Or The Devil when we’re chained to our own unexamined patterns. You don’t need a retrograde or a fictional apogee to face that stuff. You just need a cushion, a pen, and the stubborn patience to stare at it until it stops scaring you.

I get why the feminist angle sells. We’ve spent centuries pathologizing women’s anger, so pointing at a “Lilith placement” feels like permission to finally scream. And fine, scream. But therapy that relies on celestial scapegoats isn’t therapy. It’s just astrology with a bigger budget. Real integration happens when you stop asking the sky to fix you and start doing the unglamorous work of sitting with your own contradictions.

That said, I’m not dismissing the symbolism entirely. Archetypes work because they map onto real psychological terrain. If tracking Lilith helps you notice where you’ve been swallowing your boundaries or performing compliance, knock yourself out. I’m just wary of turning a mathematical footnote into a personality cult.
