Lately I've been thinking about spiritual practice accountability, because I keep starting meditation, yoga, journaling, then vanishing for three weeks. Not dramatic. Just life.

My old version of accountability was: if I miss one day, I've failed, so I quit. That felt very like a punishment loop. Now I try to treat practice more like brushing my teeth. You don't brush once and expect your mouth to stay perfect forever. You just go back tomorrow.

The part that helped me was separating "practice" from "vibration." I don't need to feel luminous after sitting. I just need to sit. When I miss a day, I note it, same way I'd note a skipped workout. No sermon. My brain wants the future calm and ignores the boring five minutes
