Psychologically, this is classic spiritual bypassing. Our brains are wired for pattern recognition, and when we hear “quantum,” we instantly stitch it to “everything is connected” without checking the actual physics or our own blind spots. It’s a defense mechanism. We use big science words to avoid sitting with discomfort, guilt, or the hard work of building equitable communities.

In the tarot, entanglement maps cleanly to The World card. It doesn’t promise magic—it shows completion, integration, and how every piece relates to the whole. The imagery is a figure in a wreath, surrounded by symbols of the elements and directions. It’s about grounded interconnectedness, not floating above reality.

Here’s the hard truth: if your spiritual practice revolves around quantum hand-waving while ignoring rent control, housing justice, or mutual aid, you’re practicing individualism disguised as mysticism. Real connection isn’t about cosmic strings; it’s about showing up for your neighbors in Eugene, organizing, and doing the unglamorous work of building something fair. Just like I’ve learned on the job as a plumber, you can’t ignore the pipes and expect the system to hold. Pressure builds.

Drop the quantum hype. Sit with The World. Get your hands dirty.
