Then I remembered. Oh right. It's literally Leo season and 8/8 is tomorrow.

I pulled out my deck last night planning to do a quick creative block reading. Shuffled for like ten minutes. Dropped the cards. The Strength card literally fell out face-up, then the rest of the spread made zero sense. Like the deck just went "nope, not doing your little question, we're doing THIS instead."

Look, I know how this sounds. But here's where it gets interesting for me as a game dev who thinks about psychology too much.

Leo season hits that solar plexus energy hard. And in Jungian terms, there's something about this time of year that seems to activate the archetype of the Performer — the part of the collective unconscious that demands expression, visibility, raw creative force. Lion's Gate (8/8, Sirius rising, all that) basically cranks that dial to eleven. My theory is that during these windows, the collective focus creates a kind of psychic pressure. Not mystical hand-waving — more like a massive coordination problem in consciousness that produces real subjective effects.

In my experience, trying to force detailed technical work during this window is like trying to code during a full moon lucid dream. Possible, but you're fighting the current. The energy wants expression, not refinement.

I ended up abandoning the spread and just sat with the Strength card for a while. The lion in the RWS deck isn't being subdued — it's choosing to cooperate. That's a totally different relationship with creative force than domination.

Anyone else feeling this week hit different? I'm genuinely curious if other people's practices are getting hijacked by whatever's moving through the collective right now.
